Water Fill & Shore Power Checklist

Water and power are not “plug and forget”—check specs, cables, and the site environment.

Water Fill: Courtesy and Safety Together

Many campsite taps are shared resources—avoid long occupancy and confirm fittings and pressure suit your onboard plumbing. If water quality is uncertain, even when marked potable, bring bottled water or boil on site—especially with children or elders.

Power: Understand Amps Before “How Long Can AC Run?”

Shore power amperage limits what you can run at once. Running high-draw devices together can trip breakers or overheat cables. Joyforest covers panel reading and strategy in How to Use the Campervan—review before departure and confirm again at handover.

How This Relates to Government Guidance

The Ministry of Transportation and Tourism travel quality message includes “follow venue rules”; water fill and waste disposal are among the easiest ways to affect the environment. Prioritize campsite staff instructions over social-media “hacks.”

Energy Awareness

Moderate AC use, turn off lights, and avoid wasting power—it is courteous and reduces trip risk. For background reading, see public materials from the Ministry of Economic Affairs Energy Administration.
